Prepare your gas stove:
Disconnecting your gas stove can be done in a few simple steps.
REMEMBER that household gas is noxious and flammable. A small
whiff of this, will not harm you. Start by moving your stove out for
access to the shut off valve. The gas shutoff valve is between the
rigid pipe in the wall and the flexible type hose that connects
directly to the stove. Turn the shut off valve with your hand until is
at a right angle with the pipe. This is the “off” position. Be sure to
test to make sure that it is in the off position. You will then need to
purchase a threaded cap from your local hardware store. Place
the cap on the end of the gas pipe to insure no leakage will occur.
You are now ready to load your stove on to the moving dolly.
When moving all other large appliances, be sure that they are
emptied of all loose articles. Unplug all appliances and move them
away from the wall for safe and efficient loading to the appliance
